Schools

I’d love to visit your school!

Whether virtually or in person, I promise your class(es) will have lots of FUN!

If you are based in the North West, I am currently booking in-person events for World Book Day 2022. Please get in touch ASAP if interested in an author visit around 3rd March 2022!

Outside the North West? Why not consider a virtual visit?

Fancy an author visit?

1. Virtual visit

CURRENT SPECIAL OFFER!

A FREE 30 minute fun, inclusive, interactive virtual visit suitable for the whole of KS2 which covers…

  • An introduction to me and my books
  • Two short readings
  • A fun drawalong or short creative writing challenge
  • “Ask the author” Q&A

Please note: For free visits, a minimum book buy-in of 10 books per single class, or 5 books per class for multi-class session applies. Letters for families to purchase these can be supplied. I work in conjunction with my local independent bookshop, Ebb and Flo.

2. In person visit

I am now available for in person visits in the North West.
Due to Covid (and to save money on travel/accommodation expenses), virtual visits are currently recommended for schools in other areas of the UK!

Visits can be anything from 30 minutes (assembly-style talk, reading, Q&A) to 4 hours (if multiple KS2 interactive workshops are desired).

A typical interactive, fun, inspiring workshop would last 1 hour and be an extended version of the virtual session as described above, but with more audience participation.

Workshops can be delivered to one class, one class at a time, or to as many children as can fit into your hall and be able to comfortably participate in a draw-along!

A 30 minute assembly style presentation can be followed by one or more 30 minute workshops with individual classes.

Reflective of the Society of Authors guidelines, unless you require me to devise a bespoke workshop, my fees are usually £60 per 30 minutes, plus return travel expenses charged at 45p per mile.

Letters and order forms to encourage families to purchase books will be supplied by my local independent bookshop and any orders will be delivered prior to an event, or brought on the day. I am happy to sign books as part of any visit.

Please use the contact form to express interest/enquire.
I really hope to see you soon!
